Web Design
Web design requires skill with visual layout, graphic design,
graphic manipulation, client-side scripting, format control, color schemes, strong
writing skills, editing and design concepts. This wide array of skills involves both sides of the brain, the logical
and the creative, and I enjoy this aspect. It allows me to work with subject matter where logic is used to
best suit a problem while my creative side has input.
Application & Database Design
Two things I enjoy about application design are: the integration of client-side and server-side code design to optimize the
flow of information AND observing the user interface design as it relates to the database design.
I have been designing databases for over eight years and have a strong understanding for walking the line between an overly normalized design and a denormalized design.
